A grant of 7,000 euros is awarded to the ACEB to boost its activity

The City Council has awarded a grant of 7,000 euros to the Benalmádena merchants and business association (ACEB), a grant with which, according to municipal sources, the entity “will be able to boost its activity at a particularly difficult time due to the crisis caused by the pandemic”.

According to the mayor, Víctor Navas, “we have been able to strengthen the business and commercial fabric of the city: during the pandemic we have launched almost 3 million euros in autonomous aid, micro SMEs and hotel plants, with the intention of maintaining activity commercial of the municipality in a very difficult moment in which consumption was dramatically contained ”.

For her part, the president of the ACEB, Rosa María González, has stated that with the grant “we will develop the campaign of the Black Friday, that we organize coinciding with Halloween to enliven a stage of the year traditionally with little commercial activity after the summer, providing the customer with the Benalmádena stores between 30 and 40% discounts ”.

Likewise, the online sales page of Benalmercado will also be updated, an initiative that involves a commitment by the association and the City Council to help local shops and businesses to be digitized and thus become more competitive. The website, as explained by González, will be translated into English, improvements will be made in the design to make its use more intuitive, incorporating a business filter by labels and the Near me function, which makes it possible to locate businesses close to the position of the user in real time.
