Benalmádena allocates 213,000 euros to hotels to mitigate the impact of the pandemic

A total of 21 hotels in the town will benefit from the second call for financial aid provided by the City Councilto help mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic on the hotel plant.

According to municipal sources, the global amount inthis second call amounts to 213,000 euros, and each hotel company will receive aid for an amount between 6,000 and 15,000 euros, depending on aspects such as the number of rooms.

The mayor, Víctor Navas, recalled that the two calls have involved a global investment of more than 400,000 euros, “aid that we condition the maintenance of jobs, and whose amount varies according to the number of beds.”

“These grants have contributed to maintaining the employment and tourist occupancy figures in the city: even in this period of economic crisis, with capacity restrictions, Benalmádena has managed to open its hotel plant thanks to a significant effort on the part of businessmen of the sector, which we have wanted to support from this City Council ”, the mayor celebrated.
