The Mapfre Foundation, the City Council of Linares (Jaén) and the Professional Association of Firefighters Technicians have held theII Special Interventions Technical Conference on the 14th and 15th of this month, in which the Benalmádena Firefighters have participated.
50 professionals from all over Andalucíaparticipated in the two multi-purpose conferences on interventions of special singularity.
The La Palma volcano was the protagonist in the first of these days, in which the attendees were shown the work that is being carried out by the firefighters in the area, as well as the planning and coordination between the different troops in service.
Málaga was also present while the work of the fire fighting services was discussed in the incident that occurred this past summer in Sierra Bermeja (Málaga), the new computer tools for control and monitoring of fire victims in Spain, or the rescue of responders in high-risk environments.
Along with the theoretical training, the firefighters attended two practical sessions, in which the intervention and rescue in traffic accidents, and the rescue of interveners have been dealt with.
The intervention of the Firefighters is essential not only for the extinction of fires. Its work is aimed at general rescue in cases of emergency such as mountain rescue and work at height, in floods or floods, releases in traffic accidents, animal rescue, removal of bee panels and falling trees, among a long etcetera.
That is why itis essential to acquire knowledge about new techniques, intervention teams and other operating procedures to optimize actions.
In another vein, remember that the city firefighters have promoted a calendarthat they have made for the benefit of the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECC) and the Benalmádena Association for Disability Care (ABAD).
The calendars can be purchased, for a price of 6 euros, at a fixed point of sale in the Benalmádena Fire Station.
In addition, on these holidays some troops have also traveled to different areas of the city to ask for the collaboration of citizens with this charitable cause.
