The Sevillian Manuel Herrera puts the finishing touch on Tuesday, December 14, at the fourth Benalmádena Flamenco Guitar Fest, organized by the Peña Flamenca La Repompa together with the City Council. Flamenco lovers will be able to enjoy the art of this guitarist at Bil Bil Castle at 8.30 pm.
The poster that has been enjoyed in this edition of the Benalmadense festival, according to the peña, “has been prepared so that both an amateur and a person unfamiliar with the genre can attend the four concerts to enjoy a wide variety of schools and styles that are sure to surprise you ”.
Since last September, the House of Culture has hosted the concerts of Gaspar Rodríguez (Estepona), Juan Diego Mateos (Jérez), José Manuel León (Algeciras) and, on Tuesday the 14th, Manuel Herrera (Seville) will be the guitarist in charge of closing the poster.
As explained by the flamenco peña, “the four are incredible interpreters, authentic creators, who will perform in a small format, but each with their own proposal. For example, Gaspar Rodríguez did a solo concert with the collaboration of the violinist Nelson Doblas; Juan Diego Mateos performed a didactic concert, in which he will explain what sounds, accompanied by percussion; and Manuel Herrera will present a repertoire based on the oldest school of guitar ”.
