Benalmádena renews its electronic headquarters with easier access and from any mobile device

The mayor, Víctor Navas; and the Councilor for New Technologies, Sergio Torralvo, presented this morning the new electronic headquarters of the Benalmádena City Council,which, according to them, now allows easier and more intuitive access.

This digital tool, which already implemented most of its functionalities two years ago, now improves factors such as its image and efficiency, simplifying processes with the aim of making it much easier for citizens to access the various City Council services.

Among the improvements that have been implemented, within the “Search for procedures” section, the search form for the procedure catalog has been redesigned and optimized. Now there is a search field by procedure name, which in real time filters the procedures as the citizen enters their name.

It should be remembered that to operate with it, it is necessary to have a digital certificate installed on the device from which it is accessed or have an account in theCl @ vesystem, valid only for those actions that only require identification, not signature .

“With a single click of the mouse and from home, the citizen will be able to access their personal data, the list of inhabitants, annotations in the registry, files, electronic notifications box, receipts, fines… in short, all the tax and administrative procedures that a citizen can do with the City Council ”, highlighted Navas.

The municipal electronic office avoids, according to the mayor, unnecessary trips and waiting for the citizen and, “today, it is almost 95% of its functionality, and we hope that in a few months it will be 100% operational.”

Save time, paper and money

The first mayor has valued that “since we began the process of adapting to electronic administration, Benalmádena has become one of the municipalities of reference in this regard: last year we already announced that we had saved almost 100,000 euros in notifications that were previously made in personand are now addressed electronically, without forgetting the saving almost 70% of the paper that we used to use in the City Council ”.

In this way, it allows citizens to access their administrative procedures at any time of the day and from home, which, according to Navas, “represents a qualitative leap in the care we offer to neighbors.”

In the new headquarters, the most prominent and sought-after options by users are clearly and directly displayed. “Technically I want to highlight three elements: the creation of a section of search of procedures much more agile and simple that facilitates its use; the new section called ‘My data ‘, in which the data of each user can be found in order to consult or modify them, facilitating procedures such as obtaining the standard flyer with a single mouse click; and a responsive design that allows us access and operate in the electronic office through any mobile device, be it smartphone or tablet, in addition to the computer, through the personal digital certificate ”, highlighted the councilor for New Technologies.

“In short, with the new electronic headquarters the interaction of the citizen with the administration is facilitated: it is a priority of this Government team to facilitate the citizen’s relationship with the City Council, and for that reason I encourage them to take advantage of its functionalities”, concluded the mayor .

The mayor and councilor have congratulated the team of technicians of the New Technologies Area “for the effort made to offer citizens an electronic headquarters with an easier and more intuitive design” and have announced that they are working on the creation of audiovisual material to help them the use of the new electronic headquarters.
