The mayor of Benalmádena, Víctor Navas; the Councilor for Employment, Joaquín Villazón; and the director of the Training and Employment Area of the City Council, Ana Bautista, today presented the 2022 report of the Benalforma Municipal Training Center, as well as the new projects for 2023.
“Benalforma is a reference training center in the entire province of Malaga: during its 30 years of existence, it has managed up to 22 million euros of public funds, and has covered 26,000 students, who have been able to requalify and thus have the possibility to find a job”, the mayor has highlighted.
“We believe in employment as the best tool for social reintegration, in addition to always being among the main concerns of young people: for this reason we work transversally to contribute to the generation of employment from the local administration”, Navas highlighted.
“In addition to generating a climate of certainty and trust so that private companies come to Benalmádena to invest, from the City Council we have contributed so far in the legislature to the creation of 309 jobs, through consolidation or offer processes public employment “, detailed the mayor.
“Through the various employment plans, we have also created 486 jobs, which demonstrates the interest of this municipal government in job creation,” he stressed.
“Only in 2022, Benalforma has served 436 students, who have received training and guidance through eight different projects, developed in 20 training itineraries, which have involved 44 internships in companies,” Navas detailed.
“In 2022, a total of 1,214,000 euros of European funds dedicated to training and guidance for job placement have been managed,” he added.
“At the City Council we also contribute to job creation through the business incubator located in the Innova building, which offers a work space to those entrepreneurs who want to start their business project, also receiving advice from technicians from the Andalusian Entrepreneurship Center ”, he recalled.
“Thanks to this effort on the part of the local administration, last summer we achieved a record for job placement: 24,000 Benalmadens affiliated with Social Security,” he celebrated.
“No one can question the commitment of this government team to job creation, and the activity of Benalforma is the best example of this,” the mayor concluded.
“In the report that we present today, both the training and employment actions and the development of projects that the Benalforma Center has managed during this past year are collected, always with the ultimate goal of promoting employability, labor insertion and stability in the employment of the citizens of our municipality, such as the new projects already granted for the year 2023”, explained Ana Bautista.
“During this year we have requested two new projects, which will involve an investment of 417,619 euros, aimed at 60 students and with the following five training actions: Auxiliary operations of administrative and general services, Teaching Vocational Training for employment, Basic collection operations and treatment of municipal and industrial waste, and Industrial and decorative painting under construction”, has detailed the director.
All these projects will be aimed at unemployed people with difficulties for their insertion and professional requalification, and the application period is scheduled to open on May 15.
