English residents will celebrate tomorrow, April 23, in the Plaza de la Mezquita, the day of their patron saint, Saint George.

The English community residing in Benalmádena celebrates tomorrow, April 23, the day of its patron saint, St. George in the Mosque Square. The event, which brings together a large number of residents every year, will feature musical performances, children’s entertainment and different initiatives.

The planned live performances from the organization include artists such as Budy Holly, The Disclaimers, Gordon Williams, The Rud Boys, Waine Ward, Cassie Spalding, Tony Whitehouse, and Mama Cath, among others.

The councilor for Foreign Residents, Presi Aguilera, has highlighted the importance of this event for all the people of this community, which meets every year to celebrate the anniversary of the death of soldier George, from the Roman army, who according to legend killed a dragon and rescued a princess, this day being the national day of England.

“As has been happening, the technicians in the area have worked to provide the necessary support so that our foreign neighbors can continue enjoying their festivals and traditions, even if it is from a distance, and so that all Benalmadens can get closer to the culture. and the idiosyncrasies of the different peoples, including that of the English community,” recalled the popular councilor.
