The International Festival of Short Films and Alternative Cinema of Benalmádena (FICCAB), which will take place between November 4 and 6, once again dedicates a space to film training with the organization of two workshops dedicated to the seventh art, in collaboration with the Escuela Minichaplin and the Arroyo de la Miel Public Library
The first of the workshops, aimed at children between the ages of 7 and 12, is dedicated to Ray Harryhausen, a forerunner of special effects and an expert in the animation technique known as stop motion, without which movies like Star Wars would not have existed. The girls and boys who participate in this workshop will know who he was, his cinema, they will work on images from his films and they will participate, speaking in front of the camera, in a small video-tribute piece.
Due to the recording of this piece, which will be published on social networks, it will be essential that those responsible for the minor sign a document transferring audiovisual rights. People who do not want to appear in the video will not need to sign such authorization.
Also remember that the participating girls and boys should bring colored pencils and markers. This workshop will take place on November 6 at the Arroyo de la Miel Public Library from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The second workshop is aimed at adultaudiences, although young people from 16 years of age may participate. Called “meeting-workshop”, Since it is open to participation, attendees will review -with surprises and humor- some great lessons that the cinema has taught us, such as kissing, laughing, dancing, the shape of space or the bottom of the oceans, or even the worst of the human being, such as evil, greed, or war, with movie sequences of all genres and all times. Like the children’s workshop, it will be held on November 6 at the Arroyo de la Miel Public Library, from 12:30 to 14:30.
Registrations for both workshops are free and are open until full capacity is reached. To register, you must send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or write to whatsapp 653581305.
