The accidental mayor, Javier Marín; and the Councilor for Education, Pablo Centella; The teachers participating in the European project developed by the IES Cerro del Viento within the Erasmus+ program have received today at the Benalmádena City Hall. The meeting was also attended by Jesús Chico, coordinator of the Bilingualism Plan of the Educational Development Delegation in Malaga; and Karen Quill, coordinator of Bilingualism and Internationalization at IES Cerro del Viento.
Through the Erasmus+/eTwinning project Bauhaus, Balanced and Beautiful Future, bilingual teachers of biology, physics and chemistry, mathematics, social sciences and English will carry out tasks such as debates, digital projects or environmental studies.
“Today we have received teachers from the Istituto D’Istruzione Superiore Della Corte Vanvitelli, from the Italian municipality of Cava de’ Tirreni, with whom we have exchanged impressions on the educational systems of our countries and the challenges that Europeans as a whole have ahead of us”, stated Marin.
Jesús Chico, coordinator of the Bilingualism Plan of the Delegation of Educational Development in Malaga, has highlighted that “from the Ministry we coordinate all the European projects that materialize in Andalusia through centers such as the IES Cerro del Viento”.
“It is the centers that materialize the achievement of this aid and those that channel it, through projects, towards the real recipients, the students and teachers, to provide them with tools that offer them more opportunities in their future”, Chico pointed out.
The IES Cerro del Viento has been assigned the seal of Twinning School for its trajectory in work for collaborative projects. The platform eTwinning promotes collaboration between schools across Europe through the use of Information and Communication Technologies and the eTwinning School Seal recognizes and values the involvement, commitment and dedication of not only each of the eTwinning members, but also of the entire educational center, where teams of teachers and management teams work together.
The director of the Istituto D’Istruzione Superiore Della Corte Vanvitelli, Franca Masi, wanted to thank “the warm hospitality that Benalmádena is offering us and appreciate the efforts of the centers to carry out this project. This cooperation represents an opportunity to grow together”.
