La Costa will have its citizen service office in Solymar

The residents of the Coast will be able to more easily access the services provided by the City Council since the drafting of a project for the creation of a new Citizen Service Office (OAC) in the area of Plaza Solymar has been put out to tender.

This service will be a multidisciplinary office that will attend to any type of administrative procedure and will also have a specific space for foreign residents, as explained by the mayor, Víctor Navas. In this way, Benalmadenses who live in this area will be able, for example, to register in the register, obtain a digital certificate, or submit an application in the municipal registry without having to travel to Arroyo de la Miel or to Benalmádena Pueblo, where the current OMAC that the city has are located.

This project, according to Navas, adds “to a large investment that we are making in improving the infrastructure of the Coast, the largest in recent decades.” At this point, he commented that in addition to the reorganization of traffic and the improvement of roads, “we have also wanted to provide services to this area of the town.”

The remodeling of Plaza Olé, the reform of Avenida de Alay, or the transfer and improvement of the Tourist Office from Solymar to the surroundings of El Bil-Bil Castle are some of the projects that the mayor has linked to this “important investment effort ”by the City Council.

Remodeling of the Gloria Alonso social center

“This action is framed within our Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI), financed with 10 million euros from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) within its Operational Program for Sustainable Growth (PROCS) and 2.5 million contributed by the City Council itself ”, has detailed the Councilor for General Administration, Sergio Torralvo.
