“For me it is a great pride to receive Laura again, and we congratulate her for the important role she is playing in European taekwondo, being an example for all athletes in the municipality and acting as Benalmádena’s ambassador in international events” , has valued Villazón.
For her part, the young athlete commented that “I have been competing since I was six years old: all the hours of training and effort are paying off.” Tomé confessed that “it still makes my hair stand on end when I remember my experience in the European championship.”
The athlete has valued the Benalmádena Doyang Center Club “like a family”, and has announced that she will soon participate in the European Championship in Croatia, “although my most important objective is the World Cup in Finland.”
For his part, his instructor and head of the Benalmádena Doyang Center Club, Maximiliano Montiel, recalled that he has been training Laura Tomé since she was six years old, “and it has always given me great satisfaction.”
Montiel stressed that it is the first international medal achieved by the club in about four years.
