This morning the press conference for the official presentation of the III Half Marathon and VI Litoral Race organized by Holiday World and the Benalmádena City Council took place at the Holiday World Polynesia Hotel, the proceeds of which go entirely to the Fundación Proyecto Hombre Málaga and which It will be held on November 14. The organizers estimate a participation of 1,500 athletes and a collection “even higher than in previous years”.
The event was attended by the Sports Councilor of the Benalmádena City Council, Joaquín Villazón; the general director of the Holiday World Resort, Marifrancis Peñarroya; the director of Proyecto Hombre Málaga, Belén Pardo; and the Director of the CaixaBank Business Area, Antonio Caballero.
This sporting event is well established in the province and this is endorsed by the five previous editions and the support of CaixaBank and the La Caixa Foundation, which highlights the increasing importance of this popular race and half marathon as one of the events sporting events on the Costa del Sol sports calendar.
“In a situation as complicated as the present one, we are going to celebrate a new edition of the littoral race with all the guarantees of sanitary security, a commitment that I want to thank the organization because in this context the easy option would have been not to celebrate it,” he said. in value the Councilor for Sports, who has highlighted the diversity of routes and the family nature of the test.

The event will have sanitary measures included in the Safe Holiday protocol that contemplates the creation of a team that will ensure compliance with current regulations anticovid-19 controlling, among others, the use of a mask at the start and finish points and organizing the start of the race in a scaled manner since each modality will start independently at intervals of five minutes apart to avoid crowds.
The III Half Marathon and VI Litoral Holiday World Race for the benefit of Proyecto Hombre, is held next Sunday, November 14 at 10:00 a.m. in Benalmádena and in it you can enjoy a sporty and family atmosphere, since it is designed so much for adults as well as for children.
The starting and finishing point will be the roundabout of the elephants at the entrance of the Holiday World resort and the route will run along the entire coastline of Benalmádena(Puerto Marina, Club Náutico and the Captaincy) with three distances: 21 km, 10 km and 5 km, designed for adults and children who want to participate running or walking.
The price of the number will be 17 euros for the half marathon until October 31 and 15 euros for the 10k and 5k races for adults and 6 euros for children.
