The City Council has announced that this year it is going to double the subsidies it gives to the associations of mothers and fathers of students in the educational centers of Benalmádena. A dozenAmpas will receive a thousand euros each for the organization of activities and the purchase of the necessary materials to start them up.
The Councilor for Education, Pablo Centella, has highlighted the role that these associations play in the educational community and that for this reason “we wanted to duplicate the economic effort made by the City Council to facilitate the Ampas for nursery schools, colleges, institutes and occupational centers, the resources they need to organize their activities, which always result in a better education for our sons and daughters ”.
Likewise, Centella has highlighted the importance of these associations having an autonomous and regular operation and that “they have the capacity to organize activities and acquire the material they need to do so.” Similarly, the mayor of IU has encouraged the mothers and fathers of the city “to connect with their Ampas and get involved in our educational system”.
