The councilor for Festejos, Pilar Ramírez, presented today The Passion Monologues, an event organized by the Sones Redentores Cultural Association that will host the House of Culture this Saturday March 25 at 12:00 hours, and that adds theater with the music of the Band of Bugles and Drums of Redemption.
Monologues of the Passion is a new fusion, as it will unite the Redemption Bugle and Drum Band together with the Eventos con Historia theater group and will consist of six monologues accompanied with music.
The director of the Band of Bugles and Drums of the Redemption and president of the Sones Redentores Cultural Association, Cristóbal Varo, has indicated that with this proposal “we want to leave the usual format of our performances in Lent“.
“The band will perform short marches to link them with the various monologues“, he has detailed. Varo has reported that the ticket price will be 5 euros, and can be purchased at the Casa de la Cultura itself before the start of the event.
For his part, the manager of Events with History, Eduardo Nieto, has detailed that the monologues focus “on the moment in which Christ is deposited in the sepulcher, and hypothetically portray the intimate feeling and how his disciples and close people could have reacted, from a mother torn by pain to a converted Roman soldier”.
