Benalmádena incorporates six new firefighters to its workforce, the first increase in personnel that has been carried out in the last fifteen years. After congratulating them, the mayor, Víctor Navas, has expressed his confidence that the new workers “will carry out their work with the professionalism and deep vocation of public service that have always characterized the Benalmádena Firefighters.”
The arrival of these new troops will allow “an increase in staff in work shifts and at the same time, the firefighting crews will be able to increase in each service,” said the Security Councilor, Javier Marín, who recalled that the service of Firefighters of Benalmádena currently have three other vacancies that are pending job offers.
On the other hand, Navas highlighted “the effort we are making to try to guarantee our firefighters the technical and human resources and equipment necessary to carry out their work in the best possible way”. Along these lines, he highlighted the City Council’s investment of 264,000 euros for the purchase of a fire truck, -which is the first acquired for firefighters in 12 years-, and the 59,000 euros allocated to the incorporation of two new 4×4 vehicles for the fire station.
