Since last October 5, following the recommendations of the Libraries and Documentation Centers Service of the Andalusian Regional Government’s Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage, the Arroyo de la Miel Public Library has recovered 100% of its capacity.
Since the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Arroyo de la Miel Public Library, like the rest of the libraries that are members of the Andalusian Public Library Network, it has gone through various phases that go from the total closure of rooms and services to a subsequent staggered opening, as well as passing through different moments that affected the free access to books and the decision to quarantine the books requested for loan in different periods that went from the initial 15 days to shorter periods.
According to municipal sources, it is expected that this commitment to normality will be well received by the users of the Library, both by those who demand a reading position every day and by those who participate in the activities.
According to the data made public by the Arroyo de la Miel Public Library, the statistics it recorded last September are excellent. Thus, a total of 140 people made their reading card, no less than 4,360 loans were made and 22,113 visits were received.
On the other hand, remember that the Library welcomes seven reading clubs of different themes and in several languages and that at the same time, it develops throughout the year a large agenda of cultural activities aimed at all citizens and visitors.
