The Arroyo de la Miel Public Library will offer more than fifty activities in the next three months

At present, public libraries have ceased to be only silent temples of knowledge to become agoras where they can socialize and strengthen ties between citizens, enjoy their services through the opportunities offered by new technologies, as well as a place access to knowledge in multiple ways. The Arroyo de la Miel Public Library is a clear example of this new concept through the large agenda of cultural activities that it develops throughout the year for the enjoyment of all audiences.

Thus, citizens will be able to participate in seven reading clubs, five of them in Spanish, one in English and one in Finnish, on a monthly basis or enjoy the training workshop Educating a Philosophical Look at Children and Adolescents with Art, organized by the Colectivo Huertos Filosóficos, which will take place on the premises of the Libraryon Saturdays 23 and 30 October.

With an eye on the youngest members of the family, storytelling Saturdays will be organized, where from 12 noon, at the Monument to the Poets of Parque de la Paloma, they will be able to enjoy a storytelling session by professional accountants.

With the aim of creating a hotbed for the passion for reading to grow from childhood, the Library organizes the workshop on a monthly basis Mi bebeteca, cuentos a gatas, for children between 6 months and 4 years old. It is about stories, games, songs, sensory experiences, walks and dialogues, which culminate in a sensory and plastic activity, related to the story, as a culmination. And in this quarter, in an extraordinary way, two workshops with two sessions each will be held in October, November and December.

On the first Saturday of each month, the Library offers the opportunity to dedicate a story over the phone to a loved one.  In addition to these monthly activities, the Library also offers extraordinary activities. The first of them in this last quarter of the year is a workshop in which participants will create their own natural home kit for the fall. Directed by Africa Rodríguez Nieves, the activity will take place on October 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Innovabuilding.
