eTwinning program
The eTwinning action is an initiative of the European Commission that promotes collaboration between teachers and students from all over the continent to carry out collaborative projects using information and communication technologies.
The European eTwinning Prizes are designed to reward the most outstanding projects and give them maximum visibility. They aim to identify, celebrate and encourage innovative practices. It is an initiative of the European Commission financed by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union.
The eTwinning program has been running since 2005 and since 2014 it has been part of Erasmus+, the European Union program for education, training, youth and sport.
The eTwinning platform provides online tools for teachers to find partners, start projects, share ideas, exchange best practices and start working together, using various communication tools. It also offers national and European online professional development opportunities for all the people who are part of its community, including inspiring ideas and experiences for new projects.
