The coordinator of the Culture Area, Ana Luna, together with the secretary of the peña flamenca La Repompa, Carmelo Montero; the president of La Repompa, Miguel Hurtado; and the cantaor Alejandro Estrada have presented the poster for the 9th Benalmádena Flamenco Week, which will be held from November 12 to 19.
The presentation of the poster will be held tomorrow, Friday, October 29, at the Casa de la Cultura at 8:00 p.m., and will be accompanied by a show directed by the singer Alejandro Estrada.
“Tabanqueria ‘is a show with which we want to convey to the public the experience of enjoying flamenco in private, as was done in past decades in wine offices, where artists met after coming from working in other places and they manifested the purest expression of their art ”, explained Alejandro Estrada.
The show will feature the participation of a group of artists from Malaga such as Nuria Martín, and some from Jerez, such as Alfonso Carpio, and Estrada has highlighted the role of spontaneity in the development of the show. Admission is free until full capacity.
“The poster is the result of the collaboration of the peña with the artist José Antonio López Ruiz, author of all the posters that will make up the Flamenco Week program this year,” explained Miguel Hurtado, who recalled that in the courtyard of the Casa de la Cultura continues the photographic exhibition The color of flamenco dance, which collects images taken by the photographer Paco Sánchez, with whom Ole Benalmádena has conducted an exclusive interview for his readers.
