The PP takes stock of 2021, in which it has taken 22 motions to the Plenary and 126 requests or questions

The local president of the PPof Benalmádena, Enrique Moya, together with the vice president and municipal spokesman, Juan Antonio Lara, and the popular councilors have reported the balance of work carried out by the popular municipal group during the year 2021. “A complex year that, from the PP have been more united than ever to the needs of neighbors and businessmen due to the consequences of the scourge of the pandemic in the city,” they indicated.

Moya and Lara have highlighted “the need to achieve political change in the city after a hard year for the residents due to the mismanagement of the PSOE and IU government, marked by the inability to solve the problems of the city, the closure of municipal facilities (Ice Club, Museum, Central Tourist Office, Office of Consumption) or the imposition of unpopular measures such as the elimination of lanes on the Coast despite the neighborhood complaints ”.

From the PP they have reported that in the ordinary plenary sessions that have been held this year, they have presented 22 motions, 126 requests and registered questions, apart from more than 15 outside the agenda. And regarding the work carried out to monitor the municipal government by the municipal group, 78 requests were made for access to information on decrees and files of the government team.

On the other hand, from the PP they have raised initiatives to demand from the Central Government the reopening of the auxiliary roads of 222 to decongest traffic, the request of the National Police Station, the resolution of train cancellations and the construction of the stop in Nueva Torrequebrada, in addition to maintaining a very critical stance “in the face of Pedro Sánchez’s proposal to increase taxes and the constant increases in electricity.”

In additionhave valued “the promises fulfilled by the Junta de Andalucíaled by Juanma Moreno, the tax cuts, the promotion of the institute’s projects, the new school and the location of a vaccination course in the HAR despite the obstacles placed by the Government team”.

Finally, Juan Antonio Lara has stated that “the PP has demonstrated with its daily work and this is supported by the polls that it is the only real and possible alternative to promote change in the face of the left-wing government led by Navas.” To do this, Lara has affirmed that her group will continue to work responsibly with the neighbors to present “a real, exciting and open project to all those who want Benalmádena to truly advance.”
