Tomorrow Sunday, at 12.00 hours, the 1st National Contest of Ham Cutters ‘Creative Plates’ Benalmádena-Costa del Solis held, an event for thebenefit of the Brotherhood of Redemption. The event, which will take place in the brotherhood house, as announced by the organization, will have the participation of six cutters from places such as Extremadura, Almería or Tarragona.
“The contest, organized by the Brotherhood of Redemption, comes from the hand of a great professional of the cut such as the local businessman David Romero, and the participation of master cutters from all over Spain is expected,” he explained days ago at the wheel of press presentation of the contest, the councilor for Celebrations, Pilar Ramírez.
The event is of a solidarity nature and all proceeds will go to the benefit of the Brotherhood of Redemption and its most urgent needs after this long period of stoppage of brotherhood activity as a result of the pandemic. Specifically, the money will go to the Cabezas de Varal project.
In the words of the councilor, “attendees will enjoy the art and great work of the professional cutters that the contest will bring together: they make real works of art with ham, and the public will enjoy the best product at popular prices.“
“This is a different contest, focused on the creative dishes modality, in which the ham cutters will make absolutely unique and artistic presentations,” explained the cutter and businessman David Romero, who thanked the sponsoring businesses for their support.
In fact, the organizer of the event stated that “we are going to try to make it a great success as on previous occasions, in which we have filled the brotherhood, to offer a pleasant morning and a great show to the attendees because ham cutters and slicers come who are true masters setting up creative tables ”.
In the presentation of the contest, the attendees highlighted the quality of the product used: Iberian ham from Salamanca, from the Iberian Benito company.
