The Sports Councilor, Joaquín Villazón, has visited theArroyo de la Miel sports center to check the progress in the remodeling works of its covered pavilion. “We are giving it a complete facelift, starting with the change of the floorand incorporating a high-quality one especially suitable for the practice of high-performance sports,” he announced.
The performance has abudget of about 250,000 euros, and the intention of the Consistory, according to the mayor of Sports, “is that after the Christmas holidays the facilities are ready for use.”
The City Council hasalso taken the opportunity to develop painting work, and the works have been carried out without damaging as far as possible the calendar of sports activities.
Villazón thanked the sports clubs and schools for their collaboration, “which have been affected by the closure of two halls and the pavilion, but have made every effort to continue their activity.”
Likewise, he also wanted to thank IES Arroyo de la Miel “who have given us part of their facilities to facilitate the integration of the activities of the clubs affected by the works.”
