On Saturday, May 28, Benalmadenses will enjoy a fairytale day. And it is that, the Story Marathon returns to the House of Culture, which this year celebrates its twenty-seventh edition.
As usual, the marathon will be preceded by a colorfulstreet parade, which will begin at 11:00 a.m., and at 12:00 p.m. the marathon will start with the staging of the story La Tortuga y el Mar. This year, the cultural activity has chosen the seaas its theme, to emphasize one of the sustainable development goals promulgated by the UN and to draw attention to the importance of caring for the oceans.
The registration period is now open to participate in the libraries, Casa de la Cultura and through the profiles on social networks of Culture and Education. “It is not simply about reading the stories, but about narrating and dramatizing them”, the Councilor for Culture, Pablo Centella, has clarified, who has highlighted the importance of the event as an element “for the socialization of culture, and of stories for transmit values and arouse interest in culture among the little ones”.
