The Councilor for Sports, Joaquín Villazón; the director of Sports Activities of the Sports Delegation, Andrés Luengo; and the president of the ACEB, Rosa María González, have presented today the 39th edition of the Turkey Race, which will be held next Sunday, December 18 at 11:00 a.m.
The race has a route of 4.5 kilometers, and another adapted of 2.2 kilometers. It is a test for the public, some of whom run in a short time, and others do it on foot, with the aim of enjoying a good day with the family.
Registration will be open until December 17, and the Councilor for Sports encouraged citizens to participate “because, once the toughest years of the pandemic have passed, it is time to go out again to share good times.” Villazón also thanked the support of the sponsors, and the collaboration of Civil Protection and Local Police.
“This is a popular race with free registration, which is among the oldest in the entire Andalusian community, and also includes a food collection for Cáritas, since participants are recommended to bring a minimum of two kilos of food non-perishable”, highlighted the director of Sports Activities of the Sports Delegation.
Registration can be done from the City Council Sports Area website, where there is a direct link through Dorsal Chip. The numbers can be collected until December 18.
The ACEB -which has been sponsoring this event since 1988- and the Open Shopping Center “continue to support this event, in which the entire municipality is involved, and which already has a great trajectory and prestige”, has valued the president of the ACEB , who also thanked the sponsors for their support, and the Sports team for their organizing effort.
