Benalmádena hoteliers show off their creativity, surprising neighbors and foreigners with interesting gastronomic proposals inspired by the world of cinema. Today starts the V Route of the Film Cover, which will last until November 14, a proposal that arises around the celebration these days of the Benalmádena Short Film and Alternative Film Festival (Ficcab).
In this edition, a total of 26 establishments participate in which, for the price of 2.5 euros, you can enjoy a beer and a tapabased on some aspect of the seventh art. The mayor, Víctor Navas, visited the La Vida es Bella social gastrobar this morning, a place where this culinary alternative has kicked off. Navas highlighted that “Benalmadense restaurateurs demonstrate their creativity by making exclusive tapas with names and motifs related to the seventh art, offering an ideal claim for festival spectators and residents to visit the various corners and streets of the municipality to enjoy our unbeatable gastronomy”.
For his part, the Councilor for Commerce, Javier Marín, stressed that the Film Tapa Route “has become an essential event because it arrives at a time of year when the influx of visitors to the municipality begins to decline after the summer, so we must continue to show our support and help to local commerce ”.
The first prize for the Best Film Cover amounts to 500 euros, but apart from the awards, Marín stressed that “for the participating businesses the important thing is that the public visit them and enjoy the authentic culinary works of art that they have produced for the occasion, taking advantage of the celebration of the FICCAB, one of the cultural signs of our municipality ”.
The Councilor for Culture, Pablo Centella, who also participated in the inauguration of the Ruta de la Tapa de Cine put in value that activities like this contribute to flavor the festival, in addition to offering a great showcase to show the quality and diversity of our gastronomy, through a habit as Spanish, Andalusian, Malaga and Benalmadense as it is to go out for tapas ”.
The people who make the gastronomic route, in addition to choosing the best tapas through their votes, will also be able to participate in a raffle through the passports created for the occasion, which will be sealed by the participating establishments after the consumption of their creation.
Passports, once complete, must be deposited in the mailboxes provided in the restaurants and bars that participate in this edition of the Ruta de la Tapa de Cine.
These passports can be collected at any of the 26 participating establishments, which are: Acholinos, Bar Las Flores, Casa Antonio, Casa Gaspar, Chopp, El Caminito del Cura, El Parado, El Vivero, Er Tapeo de Querencia, Hurvana Texmex, La Caravana , La Carretilla, La Casa del Guardia, La Despensa del Mar, La Despensa Familiar, La Espiga, La Pimienta, La Tapería de Benalmádena, La Tarara by Miguel Ávila, Life is Beautiful, Los Aprons, Ocampo, Piranhaconda, Ta & Ta, Territory Burger and Tita Yoli, as well as in the House of Culture and the Tourism office, according to the organizers reported days ago.
