The La Caixa Foundation has donated a total of 300 backpacks, with school supplies inside, for boys and girls in Benalmádena at risk of social exclusion. This action, in the words of the Councilor forEducation, Pablo Centella, “underlines the importance of public-private collaboration to improve the quality of life of citizens”. Specifically, this material will be used by students in seven schools in the municipality, from Infant to ESO.
“We are one of the last banking foundations that continue to collaborate every day to meet the needs of the people who are experiencing the worst, especially as a result of the pandemic, where we have seen the needs of many families in vulnerable situations multiplied, so we have had to allocate more resources to help them ”, pointed out Antonio Caballero, director of the Malaga and Melilla Business Area.
Likewise, Caballero explained that “we continue to allocate more than 500 million euros to serve the citizens that need it most and, within this work, Caixa por la Infancia is a very important program, by virtue of which we have donated 300 lots to Benalmádena of educational material ”.
