The councilor of Social Welfare,Alicia Laddaga; and the president of CD Pesca Benalmádena, Antonio Zaragoza, have presented this morning the fourth edition of the Toy Fishing Day, which will be held on Sunday December 19 10:00 to 14:00 on the beach of Los Melilleros, next to the El Malagueño beach bar.
This activity, which is part of the social work of the benalmadense club, has a sporting and supportive nature. In this way, citizens will participate by fishing on the beach while donating a toy for children from families at risk of socialexclusion in the city. Also, as Zaragoza explained, “throughout the day, those people who are interested in collaborating can go to the beach, or to some of our collaborating shops, to donate toys without having to participate by fishing.”
For his part, Laddaga, who thanked the sports club’s initiative as well as the collaborating associations and businesses, pointed out that “from Social Welfare we always try to cover all families at risk of social exclusion from the municipality so that no child or girl is left without toys at Christmas ”.
The City Council has asked people who wish to donate, where possible, provide non-warlike or sexist toys, betting on educational gifts.
In particular, they thanked the Béjar Neumáticos donation of 600 euros to the Benalmadense Fishing Club for the purchase of toys for the families of the town at risk of social exclusion. This same local company a few days ago donated a Seat 600 to the Firefighters, prepared and tuned, to be used as an emergency vehicle in the talks they give in the educational centers of the municipality.
The event will also feature a raffle among attendees, a chocolate and a tasting of typical Christmas sweets.
