They promote a home renovation plan with more than 2.7 million euros of investment

The City Council has signed a collaboration agreement with the Junta de Andalucía for the implementation of a rehabilitation plan and regeneration of homes in consolidated urban spaces, through which more than 2.7 million euros will be allocated to the improvement of homes with more than thirty years old, which require a significant investment to be able to adapt to the new circumstances and building regulations.

The aid will go to individuals and communities of owners, and include accessibility works, construction of elevators, insulation and air conditioning of homes, installation of broadband and communication networks or the elimination of asbestos, among other actions.

In the opinion of the mayor, this initiative -funded from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan launched by the central government and managed through the autonomous communities- “represents an important help included within our housing plan”. Likewise, he highlighted that “we are working with an eye to the medium and long term, not only with this plan for the regeneration of private homes, but also with other initiatives such as the land capture exchange, which we will launch in the coming months; the housing acquisition exchange for social rental or the line of subsidies to promote long-term residential rental ”.

The plan will be valid for three years, 2022, 2023 and 2024, so Navas has asked residents and communities of owners to “be attentive to the opening of the call, which will foreseeably take place early next year, with idea that all the dwellings delimited in the geographical area that includes the plan to improve and rehabilitate already consolidated urban spaces can participate ”.

For her part, the mayor of Social Welfare, Alicia Laddaga, has commented that this agreement “will promote the necessary urban rehabilitation of an area of the municipality, which has homes over 30 years old”. Specifically, this plan will cover some 22 buildings and 276 homes, and will have an execution period from 2022 to 2024, so it is expected that within two months the calls will be opened to participate, and from the Citizen Participation area They have announced that they will inform farm administrators and community presidents about the requirements and execution of the works.

“It is an initiative developed in three ways, through institutional collaboration between the City Council, the Board and the Government, and is part of the line of work promoted by this Government team for the modernization ofBenalmádena and its urban spaces “, has valued the councilor for Housing and Citizen Participation, Pablo Centella, who also highlighted that” many areas of Arroyo de la Miel demand a modernization and rehabilitation of their homes so that citizens can improve their quality of life, and so that one of our most consolidated urban centers has an image in accordance with a modern city “.

It should be noted that only three cities in the province of Málaga have attended this call (Marbella, Benalmádena y Málaga).
