They remove half a ton of waste from the Espigón de Poniente

The Third Cleaning Day of the Poniente Breakwater, -activity of environmental interest promoted by the Benalmádena Fishing Sports Club with the support of the Puerto Deportivo-, has been closed with the removal of about 500 kilos of waste from this enclave on the 25th of September. The thirty volunteers were found, above all, with plastics, remains of expanded polystyrene (better known as polystyrene), cans and glass bottles of alcoholic beverages.

Among the waste collected, the person in charge of the local Fishing Club, Antonio Zaragoza, highlighted the curious finding of the packaging box of a 67-inch television, so far one of the most unexpected objects of all those who have been removed from the Poniente Breakwater during the three days of cleaning that took place. have developed to date.

The president of the Fishing Club explained that the activity culminated at noon with amussel for the participants in which, as he explained, there was a great atmosphere of camaraderie and satisfaction with the work done by the volunteers.
