The General Confederation of Labor (CGT) -Andalucía has brought before the Prosecutor’s Office the suppression of commuter trains in the center of Málagaby Renfe, as indicated by the union, “given the criminal indications that this action entails as it is Public Service Obligations (OSP), for which the railway company must provide at least 136 daily services in accordance with the provisions of the Renfe / State Program Contract in force until 2027 (108 in Málaga-Fuengirola C1 and 28 in Málaga-Álora C2) “
Along the same lines, they communicated to Ole Benalmádena that “they will register a collective dispute for substantial modification of working conditions to the Cercanías driving group before the social court of Málaga for violation of article 41 of the Workers’ Statuteby seriously affecting Renfe’s unilateral decision to suppress 30% of the daily commuter trains to the shifts, schedules and salaries of the workers ”.
Based on the data put on the table by the trade unionists, as of today “there will be 3404 commuter trains suppressed since the European year of the railroad began in Málaga”.
In addition to legal action, the CGT will continue to propose and carry out public mobilizations to “recover the right to mobility of citizens and the provision of jobs for railway personnel in the province of Málaga”,
The first demonstration, as reported Ole Benalmádena, took place this Saturday in Benalmádena, and the the next appointment will be on December 5 at 12 noon.That day, the protest will move to the area in front of the exit of the Cercanías de Torremolinos and a demonstration is also being planned in the streets of Fuengirolafor the middle of next December, specifically for the next December 12th.
