The next asphalting plan to be carried out by the City Council in the coming months will focus on different urbanizations in the city, which will benefit from the municipal outlay of a total of 1,078,000 euros for the asphalting of almost 15 kilometers of roads.
Specifically, as announced by the mayor, Víctor Navas, “we are going to pave streets in areas such as Santangelo Norte, Santangelo Este, Montealto, Veracruz, Hacienda San Fernando or Torrequebrada, in addition to fulfilling our commitment to Benalmar Social, thanks to which we achieved move forward with the project to enhance the aqueduct of Finale Ligure”.
For his part, the Councilor for Roads and Works, Joaquín Villazón, has indicated that “upon our arrival at the municipal government we found a network of streets and avenues whose maintenance was very poor: it had been too many years that none of the roads had been paved. streets ”, a circumstance that motivated the commitment by the local government to promote an annual investment of approximately one million euros aimed at improving the asphalt of all roads in the town.
The mayor stressed that since they are in charge of the City Council “73 linear kilometers of streets and avenues have been paved, which has meant an investment of 4.2 million euros.” On this occasion, the asphalting plan will not be developed in the main urban centers of the city, but in the urbanizations, in the words of Navas, “In our desire to collaborate with the associations and urban conservation entities to help them with their needs and conservation and maintenance of their surroundings.” These improvement works will be carried out in the last months of winter in order to minimize possible inconvenience to the public.
